Hi, I’m Emily!
I'm Emily Eagle, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-A) providing in-person therapy in Greensboro, NC, and telehealth services throughout North Carolina. I work with adults, couples, parents, and families.
People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes there's a specific issue you want to address, and other times things just aren't working the way you'd like them to. Whatever brings you in, I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up as you are, talk openly, explore what’s going on in your life, and feel comfortable being yourself.
I enjoy working with people as they navigate relationships, communication challenges, anxiety, substance use concerns, family dynamics, and life transitions. I'm interested in understanding your experiences and perspectives rather than making assumptions about what you need.
Education & Background
I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University in 2017, where I also completed a certificate in Addictions Counseling. Before that, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Appalachian State.
My professional background includes working in substance use treatment, residential mental health settings, and outpatient therapy. I've worked with individuals and families navigating a variety of challenges, including substance use, trauma, relationship difficulties, and mental health concerns.
These experiences have shaped the way I approach therapy and reinforced the importance of understanding each person's circumstances, relationships, and experiences rather than focusing on a single issue in isolation.
